Durlon 8400
DURLON 8400 contains high temperature phenolic fibers and minerals combined with high-grade Nitrile NBR rubber. It exibits higher temperature limits than aramid based materials and the handling and cutting characteristics are greatly improved over carbon and glass fiber products. With an extremely wide pH application range, DURLON 8400 can be used in process piping and equipment in chemical, pulp and paper, and other general industrial applications. A unique high-performance compressed sheet DURLON 8400 is an excellent gasket material for use in steam, mild caustics and acids in Class 150 and 300 service.
Durlon 8500
DURLON 8500 contains high-strength aramid and inorganic fibers bonded with high-grade Nitrile (NBR) rubber. It is excellent in steam, natural gas, soybean processing and with new generation refrigerants. A high quality general service gasket material for use in a wide range of services in pulp and paper, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, refinery, gas pipeline and general industry. DURLON 8500 exhibits good compressibility and recovery, excellent sealability, flexibility and cutting characteristics.
Durlon 8600
DURLON 8600 contains high-strength aramid and inorganic fibers bonded with high-grade SBR rubber. A quality compressed sheet gasket material for use in process industries including pulp and paper, power, petrochemical as well as general industry where a "white" gasket material is often required such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical and plastics. For services such as water, steam, air inert gases, alcohols, dilute acids and alkalis ammonia and many other liquids and gases. Exhibits good compressibility and recovery, sealability, flexibility and cutting characteristics. A release agent on both sides ensures good anti-stick properties.
Durlon 8700
DURLON 8700 contains high-strength aramid and inorganic fibers bonded with high-grade neoprene rubber. DURLON 8700 is a high performance gasket material for use in processes requiring a neoprene (CR) bonded sheet such as refrigeration services. This product has excellent resistance to ozone, oils, non-aromatic solvents and many refrigerants.
Durlon 9000 / 9000N
Various shapes of inorganic fillers have been homogeneously blended with pure PTFE resins to give DURLON 9000 its physical and mechanical properties. It is suitable for use in steel flanges and will not exhibit the cold flow problems associated with virgin PTFE or the hardness problems of some other filled PTFE products. It cuts easily and separates cleanly from flanges after use. DURLON 9000/9000N is used extensively in chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage and the railroad tankcar industries. It has been tested and approved for liquid chlorine, caustics, liquid oxygen, and high purity applications in the pharmaceutical industry (9000N, blood components manufacturing).
Durlon 9200W
Barium sulfate fillers are homogeneously blended with pure PTFE resins to give DURLON 9200W its physical and mechanical properties. Independent testing has shown the fillers in DURLON 9200W to be more evenly dispersed than filled PTFE with layered construction. The result is more consistent physical and mechanical properties without the voids, separation and chemical compatibility problems found in layered filled PTFE. It is suitable for use in steel flanges, will not exhibit the cold flow problems associated with virgin or generic skived PTFE or the hardness problems of some other filled PTFE products. It has excellent sealability, cuts easily and separates cleanly from flanges after use. It is designed for use in aggressive chemicals, including caustics, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, nitric acid, liquors and digester in pulp and paper service. Applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and plastics industries include butadiene, hydrofluoric acid, vinyl chloride, methyl methacrylates, and styrene. It is also used extensively in railroad tankcar applications and can be used where resistance to highly aggressive chemicals is required.
